YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– A regular meeting of CIS defense ministers was held at the Moscow Headquarters for the Coordination of CIS Military Cooperation on December 21. The meeting was chaired by Russian Defense Minister Igor Sergeyev.
Major discussions reportedly focused on the implementation of the program of military cooperation until 2001–the work of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council–the terms and order of training military personnel as well as ways to improve the common system of anti-aircraft defense.
