TEHRAN–Iran is becoming increasingly concerned with “rising tensions” between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan said Wednesday.
Yerevan and Baku can request Tehran to provide assistance in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Nasir Hamidi Zare said, describing the OSCE Minsk Group’s attempts to reach a solution to the conflict as an “endless” endeavor.
He said the US, Russia, and France, which co-chair the Minsk Group, “do not practice a just approach” to the conflict, stressing his own country’s ability as a regional power to be “helpful in the process.”
