YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)The Mesrop Mashtots Private University–recently established in Nagorno-Karabakh–will be specializing in the following courses: law–journalism–philology–psychology– guide-interpreter–general economy–information technologies and programming. The history of philosophy– religion–ethics–aesthetics–as well as foreign language and political science are included in the list of general subjects.
Georgy Sahakian–lecturer at the Artsakh State University–who is the Executive Director of the Constitutive Council of the University–said that 50 percent of the teaching staff will consist of teachers from the State University of Karabakh. The rest of the instructors will be invited from Armenia.
Tuition will start at $300-$400 depending on the chosen course.
The Mesrop Mashtots University is the second private university in the Republic following the Yerevan Applied Arts Institute.
