NORTH HOLLYWOOD — On the evening of Friday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m., the San Fernando Valley East Chapter of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA-SFVE) will host a New Year Open House.
The intimate cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception will take place at Armenian Cultural Foundation’s Community Center, located at 11719 Moorpark Street in Studio City. This event is a great opportunity for attendees to become better acquainted with the local Armenian-American community, including members and leaders of local East San Fernando Valley Armenian-American community organizations. The presence of community members and local civic and public leaders will help build and strengthen the working relationships that are essential for our community as we enter the new year.
Attendees are respectfully asked to contact the ANCA San Fernando Valley East Chapter’s office by phone at (818) 747-8006 or by email at info@ancavalley.org to RSVP.
The ANCA-SFVE and its scores of grassroots activists continue to work toward raising the civic engagement, voter registration, and political awareness of Armenian-Americans residing in the eastern San Fernando Valley. The ANCA-SFVE emphasizes increased engagement of youth and young adults in community affairs and developing an increased sense of pride in community.
Such efforts have been especially fruitful in recent years. Home to tens of thousands of Armenian-American residents, several elected public officials of Armenian descent, thousands of Armenian-American professionals, and hundreds of Armenian-American owned businesses, the eastern San Fernando Valley neighborhoods of North Hollywood, Studio City, Van Nuys, Panorama City, Sun Valley, Sherman Oaks and neighboring areas have become the hub of the greater Los Angeles City Armenian-American community.
It is the ANCA-SFVE’s goal to continue providing a platform to facilitate cooperation and activism within the Armenian-American community and increase engagement in the political and civic fabric of the East San Fernando Valley.
