President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey lashed out at the “Armenian and Greek lobbies” calling them “evil forces,” during a nationally televised address aimed at updating his citizens about the government’s response to the COVID-19 crisis.
“The Greek and Armenian lobbies spark such anger—resonate so very deeply—among Turkey’s leaders precisely because our work speaks to the founding of the Turkish state upon the graves of millions of Christians and, more to the point, reminds Erdogan and others of the as-yet unfulfilled promise of the Treaty of Sevres and the justice still owed to our two nations,” said Armenian National Committee of America’s Executive Director Aram Hamparian.
During the speech on Monday, Erdogan announced a new four-day curfew, which will take effect on Saturday as a government step to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
“We continue our fight against this virus together as 83 million people,” Erdogan said. “Our number of new cases, deaths, ICU patients, and intubated patients continue to decrease as the number of recoveries and total tests conducted multiply.”
Somehow, however, Erdogan’s briefing—and self-praise—on the alleged inroads Turkey has made in combatting the pandemic became an opportunity for him to lash out at his detractors, with the “Armenian and Greek lobbies” being cited as examples of “the circles who are disturbed by Turkey never faltering in the pursuit of its goals despite all the attacks against it.”
Turkey will continue its fight against terrorism, foreign enemies including the “evil powers ranging from Armenian and Greek lobbies to centers of animosity originating in the Gulf,” as well as “those utilizing foreign financial institutions … to put shackles on us.”
Mr. crazy Oghlu 83 million Turks don’t have Turkish blood, but you can brainwash them like your counterpart Axeri oil man. It is a great time for you to hang on with your old enemy’s balls, Russia, otherwise S400 missiles will backfire so fiercely that you may not have enough time hiding under water sewer.
Akh!!! Mr. Hamparian thank you for your political and moral omnipresence in the face of Calif Erdoran who pushes his intellectuals, his people, his Nation into a deni destructive depriving himself of the value of his minorities for centuries. How can, in the name of this estimable religion which has preserved and valued our people, its culture after genocide in all the countries of the Middle East, how can it flout the precepts of the Islamic religion, insult its foundations by constantly uttering hate speech against minorities of all times constructive and docile? Is it sick? Otherwise it is explained in a face-to-face with precisely the President of this next national trans assembly.
Dear Mr Erdogan. I sincerely hope that you recover soon from that awful affliction that has affected you for some years, and returns you to a sense of normality. You have suffered much, being forced to look in the mirror, you have endured much, knowing that you have hurt your own nation, you have lost sleep, over all the good Turkish people – journalists galore, judges, police, army, doctors… – whom you have jailed. Yes your sanity is severely at risk and your blood pressure is known to be in the extremities, but drink a glass of good old Tsipouro, listen to some Zorba the Greek and even get up to dance and your worries may just disappear.
If a dog had barked half as much as this Turkish wild dog has he would have been euthanize by now!
Erdogan, the Sick Man of Europe. Unfortunately, his sickness has no cure.
