Oh just great. Another ODAR mortuary and Odar owned cemetary. Traditionally, Armenians have owned their own cemetarys. Fee simple. Anything short of that, no matter what assurances they give you, there’s no such thing as “in perpetuity”. Look at Arshile Gorky’s grave. The family bought all the plots around it, but like mushrooms, there are odar graves surounding and on those plots. We need church owned and managed cemetaries. With a million Armenians living, there must be a million dying. At an average of $ 10,000 per burial, times a million equals 10,000,000,000 US dollars. Thats 10 billion dollars , every time the US Armenian population gets replaced. We give our “guzzelim Parasi to the dushmanlari.” So when the Jewish owners of Forrest Lawn dedicates a section to the Armenians, we are so happy, like children being led around with a piece of candy.
Associating Sardarabad with death, graves, a cemetery, is a bit discomfiting, even though the basic idea of an Armenian section is excellent.
We have the most pointless priorities as a community here in this country it’s embarrassing
