CAIRO (Housaper)–The Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Cairo in a statement Tuesday announced that authorities in neighboring Sudan have taken over the Armenian community center in the capital of Khartoum.
The Hrant Stadium–the only Armenian community center in Sudan was taken over by Sudanese authorities with all its assets–equipment–edifices and related inventory.
Experts predicted that centers belonging to other religious minorities in the Sudan should expect the same fate.
Recently–Sudanese authorities had also taken over assets and structures belonging to the Khartoum branch of the University of Egypt.
