SACRAMENTO–California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Thursday Appointmented La Canada resident Maria Mehranian to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Mehranian, 50, has served at the Cordoba Corporation as managing partner since 1992 and previously served as vice president of urban and transportation planning from 1986 to 1992.
She is a member of the American Planning Association, California Hospital Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors and is chairperson for Armenia Fund. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Mehranian is a Democrat.
