GLENDALE—The Glendale Unified School District Armenian Clubs from Crescenta Valley, Clark Magnet, Glendale and Hoover high schools have united once again to commemorate the Armenian Genocide. It will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440 E. Broadway Glendale. Doors open at 6:30pm and admission is free.
“We are pleased to be able to host this Annual Genocide Commemoration Assembly and invite everyone to attend, “stated Ani Nazaryan, President of Clark Magnet High School’s Armenian Club. “The assembly has been getting tremendous amounts of support from the community so far and we are expecting a great turn out Thursday night.”
The evening will consist of videos, poetry recitations, songs, dances and speeches which have been contributions from each of the schools. Students from the Glendale Unified School District middle and elementary schools, along with Davidian and Mariamian Educational Foundation, will also participate.
Guests are encouraged to attend and purchase a $10 Genocide t-shirt, designed by Mrs. Nyrie Gharibian, an art teacher at Clark Magnet High School, which will go towards funding each Armenian Club.
