
Homenetmen Glendale Ararat announced an extraordinary cultural event featuring exclusive theatre performances by Narine Grigoryan, a renowned artist and the director of the “Sos Sargsyan” National Theatre in Yerevan. Grigoryan will travel to Los Angeles in April to perform live for the first time at the El Portal Theater.
Grigoryan is an iconic Armenian actress and director, recognized for her commanding performances and profound contributions to the arts. Her film career includes notable roles in critically acclaimed works such as “Yeva,” Armenia’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards.
A multi-award-winner, Grigoryan has received the prestigious “ARTAVAZD” award for both “Best Performance of the Year” and “Best Director of the Year.” In 2024, she brought to life the role of Charles Aznavour’s mother in “Monsieur Aznavour.”
On April 11 and 13, Grigoryan will present “My Life in My Suitcase,” a deeply moving journey through her personal experiences of migration, identity, and resilience. This captivating performance seamlessly blends powerful storytelling with artistic expression, offering a rare and intimate glimpse into her life.
On April 12, she will perform “The Buffalo,” a monologue by Hrand Matevosyan. This performance holds special significance as it coincides with the 90th birthday of Hrand Matevosyan, adding a rich layer of meaning to this extraordinary event.
