STEPANAKERT(Armenpress) — On March 10, representatives of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Azerbaijani criminals Dilham Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who were sentenced in the Arstakh Republic for various crimes committed.
Etery Musayelyan, Communication officer of the ICRC mission in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic said during the visit, personal information was exchanged.
“The visit took place within the framework of the ICRC’s standard procedures. The ICRC visits detainees to conduct monitoring on their detention conditions and treatment and assure contact between the prisoners and their relatives,” Musayelyan noted.
Askerov was charged for violating 7 articles of the Artsakh Criminal Code and Guliyev for violating 5. The defendants are charged with espionage, illegaly crossing of protected state border by organized group without proper documentation and approval, illegal carrying of firearms and ammunition as an organized group, kidnapping by means of violence, the use of weapons against a minor performed by organized group, and the murder interfaced to kidnapping performed by organized group, motivated by ethnic hatred. Askerov is also charged with a murder of two persons performed by organized group, motivated by ethnic hatred.
In December 2014, Artsakh Court of First Instance sentenced Askerov to life imprisonment and Guliyev to 22 years in prison.

The Ref Cross should inform the relatives they will be fed and kept prisoners for the FULL duration of their sentences. Until the life and 22 years are served, they are NOT getting out, Arstakh is a place of law and order. Throw away the keys.
