YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan) — Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Hamid Reza Nikkar Esfahani visited the Caucasian Center for Iranian Studies in Yerevan on Tuesday to learn more about its work.
Esfahani presented samples of Persian literature to the center’s library on behalf of the vice-president of Iran.
A seminar dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution was held at the center– where Edward Khourshoudian–deputy director of the center–presented a report on "Revolution in the Islamic Republic of Iran and National Minorities."
Esfahani said that the opening of the center in Yerevan and its active work was proof of the centuries-old friendship of Armenia and Iran which should be given more importance while solving cultural– economic and political problems in the region.
