YEREVAN (Armenpress)–During their January 5 meeting–Armenian Finance and Economy Minister Armen Darbinian and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Hamidreza Nikkar Isfahani discussed Armenian-Iranian economic relations–specifically–the fulfillment of the agreement on avoiding double taxation between Armenia and Iran–and details of the Iran-Armenia gas pipe construction.
Darbinian emphasized the importance of strengthening the relations between the tax departmen’s of the two states. The Ambassador stressed that a coordinating group has been established in Iran and the group representatives will soon visit Armenia to hold preliminary negotiations with proper Armenian organizations. The negotiations will be aimed at working out investment programs. Darbinian underlined the readiness of the Armenian side to discuss issues related to the program–before the meeting.
