AKHALTSKHA, Javakhk (Akhaltskha.net)—All teachers and principals from towns surrounding and including Akhaltskha were summoned to a meeting Monday where they were warned against attending commemorations of the 97th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 24.
After conferring with their principal, several teachers from the Hovaness Toumanian School had appealed to their city hall asking permission to take part in scheduled commemoration events on April 24. Apparently, this prompted city officials to issue an across the board warning to all educators of Armenian descent, barring them from participating in Genocide commemoration events.
Local officials said that this was the first instance where government officials have barred Akhaltskha residents to take part in Genocide commemoration activities and church services.
if you are searching for a nation to compare to turks and worse you find it right north of armenia how lucky we are surrounded with the best of the best savages we call them neighbors thank god we have the russians regardless if they like us or not but a least they have a little respect.
I say it is time Georgians learnt the lesson Armenians taught the Azeris. enough! with those backstabbing bastards!!!
Some countries never learn. They just keep tightening the screw until it breaks. How long will the Armenian government be able to keep the lid on in Javack: I just don’t know. However, if that pot boils over, neither Georgia n’or Armenia will be able to prevent an uprising.
What do you expect from the sons of stalin.
Goergia is playing with fire. like if its not burnt enough.
Amazing!
Would not happen even in Turkey.
Hmm. I think it’s time for the people of Javakhk to consider doing what the people of Karabakh did back in the early 90s. And maybe take a good chunk of land that reaches the black sea, so our people can have access to the outside world instead of relying on these backstabbing and bloodthirsty neighbors.
Shame on Georgians.
These injustices makes Armenian’s stronger, truth will prevail, Mikheil Saakashvili’s time will come, Armenians waited 97 years they can wait little more and see how he will be remebered in the history as the Geogean A..H….l
Of course we all know whose poppet Mikheil Saakashvili is.
i learnt at school in primary it told never trust georgians they are tavadjaner
This proves that politics doesn’t recognize any religion…!
The real reason is that they don’t want Armenian congretating and start chanting independence
Whether it is a “real” or “imaginary” reason, policy like this actually, in reality, if we are talking about “Real Politik” will actually be the “real” reason why Armenians start chanting for independence. Make no mistake, this Georgian policy and similar ones will lead to a war between Georgia and Armenia. Armenians have nothing to lose either way.
It is a sad day for Armenian-Georgian relations. The Georgian government policies just help alienate the Armenian who live in Javakhk. The unjustified abuses of the Georgian government keeps piling up. The threshold of tolerating this intolerable regime has been passed. The government in Yerevan with all the Armenian people must do every thing to improve the economic engine and military power of the Republic of Armenia to assist our brothers and sisters in Javakhk.. Succession is the answer. The Georgians have only themselves to blame for the consequences of Javakhk union with the motherland.
DISGUSTING.
WHAT kind of nonsense is this who the heck is are these people to ban the teachers from partisipating in the Armenian Genocide the USA the US Congress the whole world is remembering the sad and dark days of April 24 1915, this is exactly whay i mean wake ay Serjik etum es nstum es et bomjeri het sisaxum u kef es anum de hima el xosa ay Serjik du es mer azgin arach tanum te het es tanum ay all of the above.
I have wrote it in Armenian language so they can all read , this is sad in Georgia and the Armenian government well lets see what they will say tomorrow i think its time for javahk to be part of Armenia
you all know what i mean.
Human rights in Georgia sounds like a joke!! But turkish companies are granted contracts in
Javakhk, that is called “Economic Prosperity” in Georgia! Another dangerous dirty rotten scandal

suckassvilli be warned. Just remember what happened to Abkhazia and south Ossetia.
It is time to end this cycle of harassment once and for all . The Georgians have proved times and again that they are as cold and heartless as Stalin and deserve friendship from no one. Their Little Napoleon is already acting like a Charlie Chaplin styled Clown-Dictator.
It is past time that we set up contacts with Ajaria and Abkhazia for a federation to completely separate from Georgia. Give them a hinterland and force them the favor of a passage through our land.
