Secretary General of the Council of the European Union High Commissioner Javier Solana sent a congratulatory message to Robert Kocharian on the occasion of his re-election as Armenian president–wishing him well during his second term in office.
President Kocharian also received a congratulatory message from the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev. "The policy of the Armenian leadership directed towards the development of Armenian-Kazakh relations is highly assessed in Kazakhstan. I am confident that the friendly relations between our countries will continue developing," said the president.
Among others–the presidents of France–Iran–Japan–Poland–Russia have also congratulated Kocharian on his reelection.
