STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–Thirty documen’s regulating social and economic issues in Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed at the Tuesday session of the Karabakh National Assembly–presided over by Acting President Leonard Petrossian.
The session approved the state order for the 1997 capital investment worth 1.5 billion drams. The same resolution provides for construction and reconstruction of homes for families of disabled war veterans and soldiers who were killed defending Karabakh.
The session approved arrangemen’s on the implementation of a social and economic development program for Nagorno-Karabakh in 1997.
The session also approved a measure which would fund scientific research in the field of agriculture and botany. Within the guidelines of the agreement between the Ministries of Agriculture of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia–it is planned to develop a joint short-term seed-growing project.
The government decided to reinstate the re-registration of the public organizations law until August 1. Otherwise the activities of unregistered organizations may be suspended in accordance with the law.
