YEREVAN (Armenpress)–"The Armenian Revolutionary Federation has never been against dialogue with government authorities–but the both sides should be ready for it," said ARF Executive Council member Hrair Karapetian at a Wednesday press conference in Yerevan.
"Even after the 31 court procedure–the party has not changed its approach toward this issue–for we view this court procedure as a political order," Karapetian added.
According to Karapetian–the main issue at the heart of the dialogue is the Karabakh conflict–which the ARF still has a major role in–regardless of whether authorities wish to cooperate with it or not.
Karapetian went on to add that political issues at hand were impeding the peace process–and that development of democracy in the republic was the most important key to resolution of the conflict.
"We think that if the authorities have chosen the direction toward national solidarity–they should resolve these issues immediately. If they have not–then the ARF should adopt another way of activities."
