YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"Nuclear safety is of paramount importance to us and consistent efforts in this direction will be continued," President Robert Kocharian said during his October 7 meeting with Chairman of the Presidential Nuclear Safety Council–GRS Institute Director Adolph Birckhofer of Germany.
The meeting focused on issues of nuclear energy. The sides exchanged views on ways to enhance the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant’s operational safety.
