GLENDALE—The Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America announced a life-saving blood drive scheduled for October 20 in Glendale. Community members and representatives of partner organizations will convene at 326 Mira Loma Ave Glendale, CA 91204 on Sunday for the blood drive.
In partnership with the Armenian American Medical Society, Armenian American Nurses and Allied Health Care Association, Armenian Pre-Health Society, Armenian Professional Society, Ararat Homenetmen Glendale, Armenian Kids Festival, and Hero House, this initiative aims to address the critical need for blood donations within the community.
“As a community, we have the power to make a real impact by giving just a little of our time and resources. Donating blood is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to help others, and we hope everyone will join us in this life-saving effort. Every donation counts, and together, we can help save lives,” said Linda Megerdichian, President of the AESA and Blood Drive Coordinator.
The ongoing demand for blood is constant, with donations required every two seconds in the U.S. Blood is needed for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and ongoing care for patients with chronic illnesses. With blood banks often facing shortages, this blood drive provides an opportunity for the local community to come together and help save lives.
