YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)-A training seminar on "Children’s Rights– Human Rights and the Constitution," held under the "Citizen of the 21st Century" program came to an end last week.
The model citizen project was implemented by the Pan- Armenian Women’s Union in association with the United Nations Center for Democracy and Human Rights.
The participants of the seminar used methods specially designed for the project by a group of psychologists–including exercises such as psychological games. The psychologists involved believe that the practice conducting role-reversal games will enable the teacher to "feel the experiences of a child at school and gets a fresh look at the child’s problems."
The participants of the seminar met with Gagik Harutunian– chairman of the Constitutional Court of Armenia–and Rafael Papazian–the chairman of the parliamentary Committee on Science– Education–Culture and Youth Affairs.
An international conference of women to sum up the conducted work is planned for October of this year.
