YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)-Armenia’s Medzamor nuclear power plant was shut down on Tuesday because of electrical problems in the turbo- generator–head of the State Nuclear Control– Vladimir Kurginian– reported.
Experts are trying to find the cause of the incident. According to Kurginian–at the time of the shut down–all security systems were operating normally.
The International Nuclear Emergency Scale has classified the incident as a deviation from a normal working mode.
