STRASBOURG (Combined Sources)–Representatives from Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe met in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
David Harutyunyan and Samed Seidov met with PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of a PACE summit to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to Harutyunyan, the three will meet again in June in a more extended format that will include one opposition member from each delegation’s parliament.
The meeting came as some two dozen PACE members issued a statement condemning “any action that hampers the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict,” Lragir.am reported.
According to the Armenian online publication, the twenty PACE members referred to upcoming parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the statement, initiated by the Azerbaijani members of PACE.
