YEREVAN (Combined Sources)–The First annual Pan-Armenian Forum of Financiers and Bankers kicked off in Yerevan on Monday with more than 45 financial experts attending from Russia, Ukraine, France, England, Spain, the US and the United Arab Emirates.
The two-day summit was organized by the Ministry of Diaspora in conjunction with the Central Bank of Armenia and the Armenian Bankers’ Association.
The Conference has brought together specialists from Armenia and the Diaspora, strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties, Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan said, addressing conference participants as she read a statement by Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian.
An address from Catholicos Karekin II was also read at the forum.
According to Hakobyan, the goal of the conference is to establish a Pan-Armenian Association of Financiers and Bankers.
Forum participants are scheduled to discuss developments in Armenia’s financial system, its challenges and achievements, banking services, and financial education.
