YEREVAN (Yerkir Media)—Following reports by the Turkish press that while in Bursa President Serzh Sarkisian said that he did not need the Diaspora’s permission, but rather was on a tour to inform them about the protocols, a Yerkir Media correspondent asked the President’s office for clarification.
“During the trip to Turkey there were no interviews and there were no statements made by the Armenian President. The record shows that the decision on the signing of the protocols followed the six-week public discussion period [Eds: mandated by the documents], the president’s pan-Armenian tour and the session of National Security Council with the aforementioned agenda. Thus, the information provided by the Turkish media is an apparent disinformation,” said Samvel Fermanyan, the president’s press secretary.
There is no need to “refute” anything. The so-called “President’s” actions speak louder than words.
If he did nt tell he did nt need diaspora Armenian permission for signing of the protocol.
Then his turkish counterpart sayed that, there is no difference in esence, just enjoy
party in your convenience.
