ISTANBUL (Armenpress)–A well-known Turkish publisher–Ayshenur Zarakoli died on Tuesday after a long-lasting illness. Zarakoli was arrested several times by the Turkish government–particularly for publishing books–devoted to the Armenian Genocide.
She founded the Union of Human Rights Protection in Turkey and condemned Turkish crimes–particularly the Armenian Genocide–in more than 400 publications.
A commemorative booklet was set at the Paris Diaspora Armenian Researches Center in memory of Ayshenur Zarakoli.
