YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A resident of Dsegh village–Varsenik Gaboyan turned 115 years old. She does not have a passport–but her date of birth has been noted in a book in the village church.
Gaboyan gave birth to 13 children.
The 115-year old woman is almost deaf–but she can speak and she has retained the clarity of thought. Gaboyan knits without glasses. About fifteen years ago she fell and broke her leg. Now she can hardly walk without support.
Gaboyan lost her husband in 1948.
