MOSCOW (Itar-Tass)–The Russian side will not object to a compromise proposal of the chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe concerning a plan that in addition to Russia– France and the United States will become co-chairmen of the Minsk Group of the OSCE on Nagorno-Karabakh–"if such a decision is acceptable to other participants in the Minsk Group–first of all Azerbaijan and Armenia," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Demurin said at a briefing Friday.
"Reports by some mass media–distorting Russia’s position on this problem–are gross fabrications," Demurin said–stressing that "Moscow is worried about the fate of the Minsk negotiating process."
