GLENDALE—Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who represents California’s 28th Congressional District that includes Glendale, Montrose, La Crescenta, and La Cañada Flintridge, has endorsed Zareh Sinanyan for Glendale City Council.
“Zareh has a keen understanding of what Glendale needs to continue to be a business-friendly and innovative city,” said Congressman Adam Schiff. “He combines a proven record of community service, with the integrity, work ethic and dedication to be a great council member. I’m proud to support Zareh and hope you will too.”
Currently serving his 7th term in the House of Representatives, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has been a long-time advocate for protecting the environment and improving the district’s mass transit system. More recently, Schiff fought to protect the historic Glendale post office on Broadway, which could close its doors as a result of proposed consolidations in the area. Schiff has also been a leading voice for Armenian-American issues in Congress, including regularly pushing for a resolution to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
“Congressman Schiff has been a great asset for Glendale and the surrounding area throughout his career in public service,” said Sinanyan. “For years, Congressman Schiff has been a steadfast champion of the people of Glendale and fought tirelessly for its residents. His leadership and integrity in office has set an example that I hope to follow as a City Council Member. I am humbled by today’s endorsement and cherish Congressman Schiff’s support.”
