YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"The Turkish government is committed to a policy of annihilation of the Kurdish people and unsuccessful attempts to break the spirit of our liberation struggle have embittered Turkey which holds an aggressive attitude toward neighboring countries–including Armenia," a representative of the National-Liberation Front of the Kurdistan–Sabritash–who is currently in Armenia–said in an interview with NT.
According to a representative of the Front noted that the entire world recognizes the Kurdish factor. Day by day more and more European and international organizations defend "the fair cause of the Kurdish people and condemn the barbarian policy of Turkey."
Sabritash noted that currently around 10,000 Kurds are being tortured in Turkish prisons. Seven of them have died lately while 19 persons committed an act of self-burning. Recently 50,000 Kurds staged demonstrations on the main square of Ankara–the clashes took place between Kurdish guerrillas and government forces–the war is already under way in Zaros–Dersime–Amadia and other provinces of Turkey. Recently Turks invaded Northern Iraq and unfolded large-scale military actions against the Kurdish people.
"Having understood that it is impossible to extinguish the fire of the liberation struggle–the barbarian policy of Turkey has turned into histeria–however no one and nothing can deprive us of the belief that we shall become masters of our land," Sabritash said.
