ANKARA (Anatolia)– Turkish Culture Minister Istemihan Talay has decided not to attend the Council of Europe’s summit on the Caucasus in Strasbourg–France–after Armenia decided to send its Deputy Culture Minister to the summit. Instead–Fikret Uccan–Undersecretary of Culture Ministry–will represent Turkey at the summit.
During the summit–which is being held between the 13th and 14th of December–officials of Azerbaijan–Georgia and Armenia will come together with the goal of developing cooperation in preparing new culture policies in the Caucasus. The culture ministers of Russia and Ukraine were also invited to the summit.
