Armenia’s Armath Engineering Makerspaces educational program is expanding, with two new labs opening on March 17 in Aghavnatun and Metsamor, in the Armavir region, with the support of ArmSwissBank. These makerspaces will provide students with access to cutting-edge technology and hands-on engineering education, fostering innovation and the development of technical skills among the younger generation.
The event will be attended by Armavir Governor Argishti Mekhakyan, ArmSwissBank CEO Gevorg Machanyan, and Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises CEO Sargis Karapetyan.
The agenda for the day is as follows:
- 12:30 p.m. – Departure from Yerevan
- 1:30 p.m. – Armath makerspace opening in Aghavnatun
- 2:30 p.m. – Departure from Aghavnatun
- 3 p.m. – Armath makerspace opening in Metsamor
- 4 p.m. – Departure from Metsamor
- 5 p.m. – Arrival in Yerevan
As part of this collaboration, UATE and ArmSwissBank have signed a cooperation agreement, reinforcing their joint commitment to expanding access to quality STEM education. In previous years, this partnership also led to the establishment of another Armath makerspace in Etchmiadzin, which has delivered significant results, enabling young people to acquire knowledge and tools to grow in an innovative and creative environment.
