STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–On February 28 Stepanakert residents marched to the Memorial Complex to commemorate the victims of Sumgait pogroms–which occurred on the same day 11 years ago.
The Karabakh leadership–including Parliament Chairman Oleg Essayan–prime minister Gerard Poghossian–Vice-Speaker of the Karabakh Parliament Emma Gabrielian–Defense Minister Samvel Babayan and other officials also came to pay tribute to the victims of the Sumgait tragedy and lay wreaths to the Memorial.
