YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The 10th anniversary of Bagratashen self-defense was marked in the village of Bagratashen of the Tavoush region.
In autumn 1988 Bagratashen residents established special units to rebuff assaults launched by Azerbaijan. A total of 13 people were killed in those battles.
The arrangement was attended by Tavoush region governor Pavlik Assatrian and member of the Executive Council of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Hrant Markarian.
