
LOS ANGELES—Eighth grade students at Armenian day schools in the greater Los Angeles area now preparing to take part in the Thirteenth Annual Armenian History Time Line Quiz Bowl. This lively event will be held on Sunday April 29, at 1 p.m. Deukmejian Hall at Ararat Home of Los Angeles, Mission Hills.
The students compete by answering a host of questions on Armenian history and culture based on the book Armenian history Timeline by Hagop and Marilyn Arshagouni. In previous years, the students excited the many spectators with the breadth of their knowledge and the enthusiasm of their participation.
The teams compete for monetary prizes, which go to the scholarship funds of their schools. These awards are made possible by the generous support of the Ararat Home
of Los Angeles.
The Quiz Bowl will start promptly at 1 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 3 p.m. The community is invited to attend and spend an exhilarating afternoon witnessing the skillful performances of these eight-graders and marveling at the extent of their understanding of the achievements of their forefathers.
