TBILISI—The Georgian Patriarch Ilya II, the spiritual leader of Georgian Orthodox Church was embroiled in controversy when he denied comments attributed to him by Azeri press sources after a meeting with the leader of Caucasus Muslim Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh.
During the meeting late last week, the Georgian Patriarch reportedly spoke about territorial disputes in the South Caucasus, including the South Ossetian and Abkhazian conflicts in Georgia.
The Azeri news agency ANS quoted Ilya II as saying: “I will never agree with the opinion that we have lost our land. Not at all, we just temporarily lost control over these territories. But justice prevails. As Abkhazia and South Ossetia are the traditional lands of Georgia, Nagorno-Karabakh has belonged and will belong to Azerbaijan.”
A Georgian Patriarchate spokesman said earlier this week said that the Azeri media misquoted the Georgian patriarch and the words attributed to Ilya II were false.
Instead of living in a state of fantasy, this denialist, usurpur of Armenian properties and Churches needs to get out of his hypnotic fantasy illusions and admit that South Ossetia and Abkhazia have never been part of the Republic of georgia, and he should mind his own business before he makes any remarks regarding Armenians or Armenian territories given away by his kin stalin. In another words some Armenian who has any balls should walk up to this man whore and b***tch slap him.
The Ossetians and Abkhazians are etnically Grusians if you didnt know.
The People of Northern Caucasus – if not Mosocovians ( Russians), Turkish or Slavic,
theiy are of Grusian Etnosity.
Arn.Sweden.
What are you talking about Arn? Both Abkhazian and Ossetian languages exist, therefore they are two distinct ethnicities.
Swedish and German and Icelandic Languages also exists,
and the Swedes and Germans and Iceladers are of Grusian Etnosity.
By the way – German and Swedish is some 75% the same and similar,
and Swedish and Icelandic are more further away.
Arn.Sweden.
Further –
Some 75-100 Years ago,
there existed Swedish dialects where Swedes could not understand eachother.
This is nothing peculiar since the communications on the countrysides in Sweden,
had no communications with eachother,
and developed their respective Swedish dialects from Old Swedish,
differently and in different speed.
By the Way –
Icelandic where the language spoken in Scandinavia some 1000 Years ago,
and that Language has not developet at all because of isolation.

May merciful Allah bless Allahshhakur for ever!! He owns too many brothels in Axerbaijan, Dagestan, and Chechnya. He shares the Allah given “halal income” with his Sultan!!
I fail to see how South Ossetia or any other territory for that matter should be of relevance to the clergy. Though the dementi from the spokesperson is somewhat interesting, seeing as how this would mean that the Patriarch either said something completely different or explicitly excluded Artsakh.
And the Minsk group has guts to pressure Armenians to invite this Sheitanshukur to Artsakh?
Regarding Allahshukur, the Grand Mufti, here are some parts from an article in reportingproject, titleds “A Cleric in Business”
Other important Azeri investors in the area are Javanshir Pashazade, a member of parliament in Baku and his brother, Allahshukur. Allahshukur Pashazade is Sheikh-ul Islam, Grand Mufti of the Caucasus and the chairman of the Religious Council of the Caucasus. He was counted in 2009 among the 500 most influential Muslim figures in the world.
According to registration records, the brothers own a Czech company called Aynur KV that is also based in Karlovy Vary. The firm owns an apartment complex in the center of Karlovy Vary.
Through his driver, Javanshir Pashazade denied any ownership of Czech businesses.
Allahshukur Pashazade, the Grand Mufti of the Caucasus, owns an apartment complex in the Czech Republic. Allahshukur Pashazade is a controversial figure in the Azeri media. The government-friendly religious leader, who frequently pledges Muslim loyalty to Ilham Aliyev, is known in Azerbaijan for his connection to Ali Evsen, a Turkish businessman currently under arrest in Spain for his alleged involvement in a money laundering operation for Hussein Salem, a confidante of former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak. Evsen’s businesses have been previously investigated here by OCCRP . Pashazade’s son is married to Evsen’s daughter.

What Azeris refer to Ilya II concerning Artsakh may be true. Georgians are bad christians and anti Armenin. The history will never forgive them. In 1919, when Armenia was fighting against the Turcs for its existance, Georgia was declaring war against Armenia. The Georgian anti Armenian attitude is historical. We see them in 19th Century, in the book „Duke Loris Melikof“ of Professor Vladimir Petrosian, Yereva. Also, the Geogian Beria ist he worst example.
Trusting Georgians, we must be very careful.

How sad this is since the Armenians and Grusians are a German brotherly People.
God bless The Armenians.
Arn.Sweden.
Arn, even if you are true:
The Grusian leaders and the Grusian Ayatolla think that they are impregnated by the invadors’ Gengis Khan and Tamerlan blood. So they feel more affinity to these Turkic-barbar invaders.
This seems to be all through the history, untill today.
Something to be changed, by teaching to the Grusians the origin of our nations.
You may be the one, by returning to Grusia.

Don’t be too naïve in thinking that the Georgian Patriarch Ilya II would not willing say an anti-Armenian statement. If he indeed uttered those anti-Armenian words I am convinced he was not sucked into any Azeri propaganda…by mistake!
I would not be one bit surprised if the Georgian Patriarch Ilya II did indeed say that.
Must never trust the Georgians as history should have taught us that valuable and painful lesson.
Georgia has become Turkified for sometime now so they feel more afininty with the Turks than the christian Armenians. Georgians are the only ones who still adore that monster of history, Stalin!
