LOS ANGELES—After hundreds of entries and more than 50 finalists, the winner of Ameria’s “Win a Trip to Armenia” contest is 27-year-old Patrick Bairamian. Patrick is a free-lance writer and is thrilled about the opportunity to revisit Armenia. “It’s not only important for me to go back, but for all Diasporans who have an ounce of Armenian blood in their family tree. Armenia is a country that makes me want to be successful to prove that I have what my ancestors had 5000 years ago to succeed. I want my father to go with me since he has helped me keep my Armenian heritage alive even though I was born in America,” Bairamian said.
Ameria Group’s Los Angeles office – serving as a bridge between Armenia and the Diaspora – launched the campaign, titled, “When in Armenia, think Ameria. Win a Trip to Armenia!” during the Navasartian games this year. “The purpose of this campaign was to reconnect the Diaspora to Armenia, by giving them the opportunity to earn the prize by correctly responding to four questions, the answers to which are empowering to any Armenian,” explains Ameria Group’s L.A. office Public Relations Manager Anush Hovsepyan.
As requested by many contest participants, Ameria is pleased to share the correct answers to the contest questions. Here we go!
In 2012, Ameria made Armenia visible in the global financial world by winning the 2012 Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
The second question of the contest referred to the timeframe of Ameria’s expansion to Los Angeles in order to serve as a Diaspora-Armenia investment bridge. Two years ago, in September 2011 Ameria established a presence in Los Angeles with a reception attended by Armenia’s President, Diaspora Minister, Diaspora venture capitalist Noubar Afeyan, and the Diaspora business community.
The third question was about the world’s longest aerial tramway, located in Tatev, Armenia. In fact, Ameria has had a great role in this record-setting tramway, which takes passengers up to the medieval monastery of Tatev.
Finally, the answer to the 4th questions sheds light on Armenia’s hospitality industry. For investors that are ready for diversification and tapping into the hospitality industry, it helps to know that it is the midscale hotels in Armenia that promise high return on investment versus luxury or economy ones.

Hundreds of participants across the United States entered the contest within the two-month period. Only those who got all four answers correct qualified for the final stage of the contest for a random drawing. To ensure the fairness of the campaign, Ameria Group Inc. invited 5 year-old Jaqueline Papazian to do the drawing at the L.A. office of Ameria. Winner Patrick Bairamian was thrilled to meet Ameria’s CEO Rafi Manoukian, as he received his prize. The winner received not only a round trip to Armenia, but also a 7-day stay at the luxurious Panorama Resort (ThePanoramaResort.com) in Yerevan with a picturesque view of Mount Ararat. Contest winner Patrick Bairamian promises to share his experience from Armenia upon his return. In the meantime, when in Armenia, think Ameria!
