GLENDALE—Candidate for Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell on Wednesday visited the Peschekerian Armenian Center, where he met with members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western US Central Committee and community leaders.
A wide range of issues pertaining to law enforcement within the LA County Sheriff’s department jurisdiction was discussed, with McDonnell being sensitized to issues that might impact the Armenian-American community.
Among the community leaders present during the visit were Glendale Mayor Zareh Sinanyan, Montebello Mayor Pro-Tem Jack Hadjinian and Glendale City Clerk Ardashess Kassakhian.
McDonnell welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Central Committee, and pledged that, if elected, he would work closely with the community and its leadership to ensure that relations remain strong and effective with his department.
McDonnell will be on the ballot for the November 4 General Elections.
