NEW YORK—This year, seven Armenian-American will be among the recipients of the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, which awards the medals, announced that Harry Nadjiarian, Vahe Karapetian, Mike Sarian, Christopher Atamian, Ted Chaglassian, Mike Joulakian and Simon Krikor Simonian will receive medals of honor.
The Ellis Island Medals of Honor are awarded annually to a group of distinguished American citizens who exemplify a life dedicated to community service. People who preserve and celebrate the history, traditions and values of his/her.
The award ceremony of the Ellis Island Medals of Honor will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
