TEHRAN–Our sister publication in Iran–Alik daily–published reported that two Iranian-Armenian community leaders were denied entry visas to Armenia. Below is the translated text of that report:
"We are informed that long time Iranian-Armenian leaders Tomik Saroukhanian and Vigen Baghoumian–applied to the Armenian Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Armenia to acquire entry visas [to Armenia]. Their request–however–was rejected without any explanation.
"This act by the Armenian Embassy can only be explained by the posturing and the destructive position of discrimination carried out by the leadership of Armenia–through which political approaches are being carried out against leading Diaspora national activists."
