YEREVAN (Yerevan News Agency)–During a joint session of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Executive Council of Armenia and the Central Committee of Karabakh Wednesday–the upcoming local elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic were discussed.
Representatives of the Karabakh Central Committee presented the strategies and party position on the local elections–scheduled for next month.
The meeting greatly stressed the importance of improving the socio-economic conditions of the people of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic–as well as the strengthening of democratic institutions.
The ARF leaders also stressed the imperative for discouraging social polarization–given Karabakh’s political–geographic and military strategic importance.
At the close of the meeting–it was decided that an active assistance would be provided to the ARF Central Committee of Karabakh–to enhance the party’s involvement in the elections.
