YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"Anzhela Karapetian–the lawyer of Nairi Badalian–who is one of the accused in the October 27 case–has never complained to me about being prevented from meeting with her client," Head of the Investigation Department–Military Procurator’s Office–Artak Haroutiunian told Noyan Tapan.
He pointed out that he is not in a position to forbid or allow lawyers to meet with their clients. He said that Article 73 of the Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates the lawyer’s right to "private–confidential–free meetings with his/her client."
