YEREVAN (Armenpress)–An exhibition of Iranian contemporary art opened in Yerevan on September 15. Iran’s ambassador in Yerevan Mohammad Koleini addressed the present with a brief speech–commenting highly on Armenian-Iranian cultural contacts. He said the present exhibition would give a new push to further development.
Among the painters exhibited in Armenia’s National Picture Gallery–there is one Iranian Armenian–Aida Vardanian–who got her professional education first in Tehran and then in Yerevan.
Earlier–an exhibition of Armenian sculptors had opened in Tehran which was a great success with the local public.
