YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A delegation led by Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian left for Luxembourg Monday to attend the 2nd annual meeting of the Armenia-EU Cooperation Council.
During the visit–the Armenian minister will meet with European Commission members and Foreign Relations Commissioner Chris Patton–Foreign Ministry officials said. Armenia-EU relations as well as a number of other issues related to the regional programs of the European Union are expected to come up for discussion during the Luxembourg meetings.
Oskanian left Luxembourg for Strasbourg to participate in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Council of Europe member countries to be held October 11-13. The meeting will be dedicated to the World Conference on the issues of Europe’s contribution to the struggle against manifestations of racism–racial discrimination–racial irreconcilability and intolerance.
Oskanian is expected to make a speech Friday–the Foreign Ministry’s Public Relations Department reports.
