YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On January 26–President Robert Kocharian signed a decree awarding the Ananya Shirakatsi medal to vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation Nikolay Laverov for his major contribution to the elimination of consequences of the December 7–1988 earthquake in Armenia and reconstruction works–the President’s Press Office told Noyan Tapan.
