MONTEBELLO—The Armenian National Committee of America- San Gabriel Valley will host the annual Armenian Genocide Rally and Vigil on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument in Bicknell Park, 901 Via San Clemente, Montebello, CA 90640.
The keynote speakers for the event will be Khatchig Mouradian, editor of the Armenian Weekly, and Nora Hovsepian, the Chairwoman of the ANCA- Western Region. The event will also feature musical performances by artists Raffi Semerdjian and Peter Hosharian. Student groups from the Mesrobian Armenian School and the AYF Vahan Cardashian chapter will also be participating in the program.
The ANCA-SGV would like to invite all community members to join in commemorating the Armenian Genocide and paying respect to the victims who lost their lives in the atrocities. “It is imperative that we come together every year to remember and reflect, but to also agree to take collective action in ensuring that the rights of Armenians are recognized” stated ANCA-SGV Chairman, Levon Kirakosian, who will conduct the event as the Master of Ceremonies.
