YEREVAN (Azg) — Armenpress reported yesterday that the Aravot daily has been closed down– based on a corresponding decision of the editorial board.
Editor-in-chief of Aravot Aram Abrahamian said to Armenpress that "the daily has fulfilled its mission as a free media outlet and exhausted its contents resources as such."
Abrahamian refuted the rumors that the newspaper was shut down because of political considerations and added that "it is now the time to rest from daily life of the newspaper and think about future actions."
