YEREVAN (AZG)–ARF’s Levon Mkrtchian told Azg on Tuesday–that the issue of dual citizenship is vital to Armenia–and that indecisiveness on the matter deals both material and moral blows to the Armenian Diaspora.
According to Armenia’s constitution–the decision to grant dual citizenship can come only by way of a national referendum. The ARF has proposed a new package of constitutional reforms–which includes waiver of the article on dual citizenship from the main text–and passes the issue to the National Assembly.
