YEREVAN–The 32nd World Congress of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation concluded Saturday with the election of a new Bureau.
The World Congress, which kicked off on January 16, was attended by delegates from all regions of the organization, as well as guests who were invited by the regions and the outgoing Bureau.
The Congress examined the activities of the ARF in the past cycle, and outlined priorities—political and strategic—for the upcoming term. The Congress discussed Armenia’s domestic state of affairs, foreign policy, and matters of national importance.
Before the conclusion of the Congress, a new Bureau was elected to lead the organization in the next four years.
The new body, which is representative of most of the ARF’s organizational regions is comprised of the following:
Vigen Baghoumian (Iran)
Dr. Viken Yacoubian (Western US)
Hagop Khatcherian (Lebanon)
Hrant Markarian (Armenia)
Giro Manoyan (Armenia)
Khatchig Mouradian (Eastern US)
Benyamin Bdjakchian (Lebanon)
Hagop Der-Khatchadourian (Canada)
Armen Roustamian (Armenia)
Spartak Seyranian (Armenia)
Mourad Papazian (France)
At its plenary session, the Bureau elected Markarian as its chair and Roustamian as its political representative.
We request details of the discussions relating to Armenia’s domestic state of affairs, foreign policy, and matters of national importance. Did they have the courage to discuss Mother Russia’s hegemonic policy and how we can throw the yoke of oppression off from us?
Congratulations, I am particularly impressed by election of Vigen Baboumian from Iran. Good choice.
God speed…!
