YEREVAN (Aysor)–Armenia’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Manouk Vardanian, met on Wednesday with Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia, Seyed Ali Sagayan, for talks on the construction of a North-South Highway linking Armenia to her southern neighbor.
Vardanian said that large scale construction on the road-building project will start in Armenia and continue into Iran.
The Iranian envoy, for his part, said there are Iranian companies, keen on investing in the project. The North-South Highway has attracted interest from the Asian Development Bank, as well as Russia and China.

Armenia should be looking towards working with the East, e.g. China and not the West and Europe.

If the highway is complete,Armenia does not need the open border with YELLOW STAIN turkey.Only the Armenian shekal merchants want it.Its surprising what some people will do for a buck.Isnt that where the term “dirty money” originated .

With the hope that the west can come to terms with Iran,Armenia should persue all avenues with Iran.I just hope the “trusted ally”,Turkey, dosn’t start making demands on Iran to cut ties with Armenia.
