YEREVAN (Armenpress)–On December 15 Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sarkissian and his Azeri counterpart Safar Abiyev discussed furthering cooperation aimed at achieving a long-lasting truce between the warring parties.
The meeting took place at Yeraskh–on the border between Armenia and Nakhijevan. The ministers examined the issues concerning their common border area. They agreed to meet more often and secure stability along the border. Regular dialogue between the two ministries should be established–so that all relevant issues can be clearly communicated. Both ministers will work towards setting up direct contact between commanders of their respective border units. Information on POWs were also exchanged.
